What is it?

Rent and mortgage support until June 2021. Organizations would be able to make claims retroactively for the period that began September 27 and ends October 24, 2020.

Who is eligible to apply?

• Canadian business that is paying rent or mortgage interest
• Tenants who lost 70% of revenue get maximum subsidy (revenue loss is based on income from the same period last year or a similar period earlier in the year)

How much

Up to a maximum of 65% of rent or mortgage interest payments – sliding scale. The more revenue has lost, the higher is the subsidy. If need to shut down the business due to public health order, then can get additional 25% (90% in total).
